About Our Puppies
All of our puppies are born in our living room and raised in our home in their special nursery. Puppies are never exposed to other dogs, outside, or anything that might contain new germs until they are properly vaccinated. Before their first vaccine they spend their time nursing in their large puppy playpen with their mom. After they are weaned and have their first round of shots, they spend their days playing in puppy exercise pens, working on peepad and crate training, and being loved on and played with by us!
We do NOT allow potential buyers to see our puppies until at least 9 weeks of age after they have received their first vaccine. This is all for the safety of the puppies. It has been our experience, and also with guidance from our vet, that this is the best way for puppies to be quarantined from diseases and parasites.
All of our puppies come with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE against liver shunt, hydrocephalus, genetic heart conditions, and Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, as well as a 1 year guarantee against other issues. Please email me for a copy of our full health guarantee. In addition, any puppy/dog sold for breeding will come with a breeding/show guarantee. This can also be communicated through email by request. We also maintain first right of refusal on our pups, meaning that at any time you need or want to give the puppy up, he/she must come back to us and you will receive compensation. We want to buy our babies back!! We have an open door policy!! Our puppies never leave us until they are a MINIMUM of 12 weeks old, sometimes even later if they are smaller or I feel they are not ready to go. Please do not ask if your puppy can go earlier than 12 weeks, even if you have had a younger puppy before! We prefer that our puppies nurse longer, we do not take our moms away from her babies too young, and we use the time after weaning and before they go to their new homes to socialize them and work on potty training, eating, crate training, and positive reinforcement.
Our puppies also go to their new homes with a puppy pack. The pack includes a folder which contains all their health and vaccine records, registration papers, Madaloo Yorkies contract and health guarantee, and new puppy instructions and helpful information. Your puppy will also come with a gender appropriate outfit, a blanket, a favorite toy, and a small bag of the food they have been eating.

If you ever have to go on vacation, out of town, even for an emergency, I will keep your baby with me at no charge until you return. It is a wonderful chance for me to get to see my babies again, no matter how old, and I certainly do not mind having one or two extra sets of paws around the house once in awhile!

We feed most of our puppies the same food as our adults, a wonderful grain free kibble called Solid Gold Just a Wee Bit. The bites are tiny so young puppies can easily chew them, yet the food is adequate for all life stages. As confirmed by my vet, this food has a high enough protein content to be suitable for both puppies and adults, and it contains Bison so it is highly palatable for a picky pup. This food can also easily be mushed up and mixed with a bland canned food or chicken broth. Solid Gold can be found at most local pet food stores including Petco, PetSupermarket, etc.
